dumpster diving in dimensional spaces sounds fun

Lydia is kind of like the fairy equivalent of a cat bringing it's master a dead mouse as a gift.

I thought the same thing but more with Lydia being the Woman who owns the rental storage place locks up then looks thru peoples stuff sees something that looks nice waits for the contract to expire then puts it off to the side for later

kinda like storage lockers only she's not putting them on auction lol

Looks like she struck gold with Lydia finding that treasure trove of free old stuff and putting it in Ruri's dimension. Reminds me of the days I used to go to antique stores or thrift stores for a bargain, or flea markets where it wouldn't be unusual for a stall to give you free stuff they couldn't sell but didn't want to bring back upon closing up. Being a pack rat, I always loved finding old but useful stuff, especially glasswares or rarer finds like silverware cutlery.

@sonicboom750: No, it used to get deleted along with whatever contents inside, each space belongs to that specific person, no family member/random person will ever open a space into someone else's.

It's after Lydia made her first contract that her contractor told her to gather the stuffs inside before deleting the room.
I think it's after her contractor passed away that Lydia sometimes put items inside the family/friend's spaces
Although since it's on a whim, it became known as "Time Fairy's mischief" that you'd randomly find someone else's items inside your space.

If I recall right, in the novel unused spaces don't get deleted, but recycled, so some guy might access his space for the first time and find an old adventurer's stuff in it.

So, Fairy-chan can remotely loot the inventory of dead heroes/kings/adventurers and give it to MC-chan? That might be the most OP skill in any isekai ever.
