@kanaloa , on the contrary, I like it that the manga isn't going too slow. I do not have the patience to read or watch another Naruto, and strongly prefer my entertainment media to be fast-paced and to the point. At least as long as they don't sacrifice understandability.

Mostly to enjoy the cute catgirl kicking ass in pretty manga graphics. Did you notice how many people here have already read the novel, but are reading the manga anyway?
It was obvious "everything" will be okay from the point where the sword met catgirl. Or maybe even earlier. And it's okay. There are many other interesting developments besides "the only character the audience cared for dies". Yes, including this novel and manga, where few things ever go as planned.

@kanaloa ackchyually, the manga did put a focus on her struggle for a chapter, since there's that to be continued stuff in the middle of the chapter.

I hope they throw in a few scenes in future chapters of Fran training, hunting, and fighting alone with a regular sword so she has stuff to fall back if she ever gets separated from Sword.

Guess it's time to drop. She fought back..thats nice..but the sword came to her rescue right away. This is what I mean by shallow writing. They should've focus on this point and concentrated on her struggle atleast for 1-2 chapters even if the sword will eventually come to help. It's all about how they present the story..this is too damn fast and it makes you think that everything will be okay as long as the sword is there. If we already know how it's going to turn out why should we read it? Okay "we" is a bit off since I'm usually the only who think like this. Would've been a nice read but I'll give this a 4.

@anotherone i'm glad that's just manga thing, since there's a chance she'll repent and became much closer to her source material character

urushi and amanda are much less serious looking than in the light novel

@Miza Amanda's character is way more interesting in the webnovel (waaaayyyy less pushy and more mature), don't know why they changed it in the manga. That's my only grip with this adaptation so far tho.
